Dentist Review

Online dental reviews can be very helpful but can also be misleading. Groups of companies have popped up to write favorable reviews for dentists to overcome legitimate bad reviews. Also, it can be a challenge to see if the positive reviews were written by family or office staff. Likewise, bad reviews may have been written by competitors trying to get people to keep looking until they are found.

After reading a few of the many dentist reviews, you'll see trends that indicate if they are legitimate or not. Date ranges on the reviews provide some clues. If 100 reviews were posted in one day and no others were written in the prior 5 years, it's a sign of bogus reviews. Even 100 reviews in a week or two indicate 'bogosity' if all are positive and their are hardly any other reviews to be found on this dentist despite a history of greater than one month. Call a dentist or, even better, go along and see the dental clinic for yourself; you will get a ‘feel’ for the place as soon as you step into the reception area.

Free Dental Services

Welcome to Dentist Reviews. Our mission is to provide you with free up-to-date dental care information. Looking for a free dentist or free dental programs? The Free Dental Services list below includes many resources and tips for finding free dentists or reduced cost dental care options.

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) administers three important federally-funded programs: Medicare, Medicaid, and the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).

Free Dental Care - Medicare Services

Currently, Medicare will pay for dental services that are an integral part either of a covered procedure (e.g., reconstruction of the jaw following accidental injury), or for extractions done in preparation for radiation treatment for neoplastic diseases involving the jaw. Medicare will also make payment for oral examinations, but not treatment, preceding kidney transplantation or heart valve replacement, under certain circumstances. Such examination would be covered under Part A if performed by a dentist on the hospital's staff or under Part B if performed by a physician.

Free Dental Care - Medicaid Services

Medicaid is a state-run program that provides medical benefits, and in some cases dental benefits, to eligible individuals and families. States set their own guidelines regarding who is eligible and what services are covered. Most states provide limited emergency dental services for people age 21 or over, while some offer comprehensive free dentist services. For most individuals under the age of 21, free dentist services are provided under Medicaid. Visit http://www.cms.hhs.gov/MedicaidDentalCoverage/.

Free Dental Care – State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP)

Free Dentists for Children - SCHIP helps children up to age 19 who are without health insurance. SCHIP provides medical coverage and, in most cases, free dentist services to children who qualify. Dental services covered under this program vary from state to state. Visit www.cms.hhs.gov/SCHIPDentalCoverage/.
